WHAT IS POPJAM?
Popjam is/was a social media art platform targeted towards kids
Now before you get your pitchforks I was also a kid!
The first online appearance
Back in 2016 my middle sister Sass watched a
Danandphil video about popjam
and she was hooked.
I would ask for weeks what she was playing and she was like
“No, if I tell you. You’ll be better then me”
She caved and with my iPod touch I download
popjam for the first time. My very first social media.
Already being an artist got me the edge.
And a year in to being on the platform got my neon star.
The platforms equivalent to a verified check mark.
A very prestigious and only one gets
hand selected by the development team every week
I drew almost every single day for 7 years straight
don’t ask me how I don’t even know
It had it’s ups and downs
I learned hard lessons but useful ones
I can carry with me.
Like how to deal with hate comments.
How to deal with creeps. And many more.
I learned too much I think
In 2023 they shut their doors
In my 7 years of being on the platform
accumulated nearly over 18k followers
82 dcru and 5 dc winner
(They had daily art challenges)
7 years?That’s a long timewhy did you stick it out?
I stuck with it for so long because Instagram
was scary and hard to grow.
While on there I had people excited to see my stuff.
I naturally drifted from it in 2019 due to covid and being older
so it was more like obligation that I stayed for so long
i made a lot of memories and friends
and felt like a little art celebrity
it was a nice fever dream but at some point
i needed to go into bigger waters.i am forever grateful to the community i built there

My instagram history
Starting my account in 2017
then my soft transfer to instagram in late 2018.
There’s been quite a few arcs
to I only draw one oc to ukulele song covers to art burn out and to being mia because life kept happening. Instagram has seen it all. Friends were made friends were lost and she’s finally learned not to cry on main.
While I never really learned how to grow on there.
I learned to not care about numbers and to be happy with just creating
and letting that resonate with the small people that get it.
My instagram has been the main stopping ground for changes.
And the biggest change being...
My vtubing journey so fair
Starting in January 24th of 2023
From that super shy and awkward streamer
To that less awkward
streamer that will
literally tell you about
color theory for hours.
We survived 2 years of a potato pc
and being at 2p with lots of scuff.
We’ve only been improving and growing.
While the journey may be slow it’s a been a fun one
Why vtubering/content creation?
I grow up with the age of the internet that was about
creating, art and self expression.
And that place found me when no one else did.
Now that I’m older I want to give back as authentically and
with as much passion as I can to honor those who were before me.
So that maybe just maybe I can be the inspiration for another.
Even if that is just one person that is more than enough.
I knew i always wanted to pursue this
but i was always held back
whether that be my equipment or myself.
I went from just wanting to make videos
to wanting to be an animation storyteller to a vtuber.
Vtubing was honestly the best of both worlds.
for something like art be the main focus
without restraints it was just to perfect to pass up.
So i told myself it was finally time to chase this.
To not wait for a perfect moment to find me.
To just persevere no matter how hard it
got no matter the limitations.
It’s been a journey but one I will never regret.
Being here and being your little content creator
was always my dream
so thank you from the bottom of my heart
